Anipos Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Anipos"), which promotes digital transformation in pet insurance, has entered into a capital and business alliance (startup M&A) with WM Growth No. 5 Investment Limited Partnership, managed and operated by WM Partners Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "WM"), in order to achieve further growth. Finance Produce Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "FiP" or "our company") provided support as a sell-side financial advisor.
Significance of this M&A
Anipos is an insurtech company that develops vertical SaaS and tech-enabled BPO services specializing in the pet insurance industry, with the vision of "creating a world where everyone can enjoy better, more appropriate veterinary care and live happily with animals."
This investment involves the acquisition of shares from existing shareholders and a reinvestment by the management team. WM promotes "growth buyouts," taking companies that have grown through the VC phase to the next stage and working alongside the management team to achieve further growth. Building on the high technical capabilities and industry knowledge that Anipos has cultivated, with WM's support, Anipos will strengthen its management structure, promote talent recruitment, and accelerate the further expansion of product functionality.
